Theatre ETC (Empathy Teamwork Communication) Workshop for Kids

Theatre is much more than what happens on the stage! 

The preparation for theatre - reading, understanding the character and emotions and expressing it in the most effective way - is in fact, a preparation for life. 

Theatre ETC, a workshop for children, will help children appreciate the preparation with emphasis on;

• Understanding different perspectives and emotions (Empathy)
• Experiencing that no role is big or small and each player is key to the team's success (Teamwork)
• Expressing effectively through the 3 key instruments we all possess (Communication)

This engaging 2.5 days workshop aims to give children a glimpse of the theatrical process, its unlimited possibilities, encourage them to express freely and evaluate a performance.

Thurs, June 22 : 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Fri, June 23 : 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Sat, June 24 : 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm (Presentation to the Families of participants)

*MMS Member: S$ 50
* A child 12 yrs and above needs to have his/her own membership. For younger children, either of the parents needs to be MMS Member.

Who will conduct it: 
Swapna Mirashi & Nalini Thite

Both theatre enthusiasts, Nalini and Swapna have experience working with children. Swapna has trained more than 300 children in creative thinking for 7 years in Mumbai including at forums such as British Council Library, Summertime at Prithvi Theatre and Balmohan Vidyamandir. She was also a part of MMS Marathi play in 2014. Nalini has been a part of theatre in various personal capacities and has directed MMS Kids Play in 2016.
